We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to design Plastic Interior Parts, such as mid console, roof liner and dash panel.

Your profile

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent level gained by experience) and a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in Automotive. He/she should have profficient use of Unigraphics and Team Centre Engineering.

FEA Calculation Engineer - Motorsport; Composite structures

The purpose of the job and main job responsiblilities

  • Creation and calculation of simulation models
  • Concept design and optimisation of laminate components
  • Definition of composite laminates and their production
  • Detailed analysis and evaluation concerning strength and stiffness requirements
  • Definition and guidance of testing for model verification
  • Project work under own supervision
  • Full documentation in English
  • Your profile

  • BSc in Mechanical, Automotive or Aeronautic Engineering
  • A sound knowledge and relevant experience of composite FE-Analysis
  • Very good structural and mechanical understanding
  • Hands on experience in composite production technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of professional simulation tools (NASTRAN, Laminate Modeler)
  • CAD experience (CATIA V5) of benefit
  • Self-responsible and analytical working style, good communication and team approach
  • A positive attitude towards flexible working hours
  • The ability to work to the highest standards and to tight deadlines

  • Composite component pattern & mould design
  • Design of tooling & jigs for composite assemblies
  • To work closely as part of a team of designers
  • Your profile

  • Graduate Engineer in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years working experience as a Composite Designer.
  • F1 experience would be an advantage
  • Sound Knowledge of Carbon-Composite design technologies
  • CATIA V4 proficient (Solids, Surfaces & Drafting) & VPM data management system
  • Computer literate in Excel & Word

    Gearbox/Transmission Design Engineer - Motorsport

    The purpose of the job and main job responsiblilities

    For defined projects or assembly groups, you will be responsible for 2D-layouts, calculations, 3D-design, detailing, and production engineering.

    Your profile

  • As a graduate engineer you offer at least 3 years of post-graduate experience in gearbox / mechanical design, preferably with Motorsport experience, automotive or aeronautical environment.
  • Excellent CATIA V5 skills as well as a good command of FEM and the classical calculation methods are mandatory.
  • Sound knowledge of state of the art materials, surface - and heat treatments is required as well as project management and communication skills.
  • CAD CATIA V4 proficient (Solids, Surfaces & Drafting) & VPM data management system
  • Computer literate in Excel & Word
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills
  • A positive attitude towards flexible working hours
  • The ability to work to the highest standards and to tight deadlines

  • Leads the design for electric component changes
  • Evaluates and recommends new technologies
  • Coordinates related activities with other locations & headoffice
  • Ensures product development in line with processes & customer team requirements
  • Problem containment & solving
  • Plans, implements and analyzes test and validation programs
  • Coordinates engineering activities with other groups, customers and vendors
  • Performs regular and continious benchmarking for electrical components
  • Issues and maintains engineering documents
  • Your profile

  • 2 years experience in a similar position (automotive or components with similar requirements)
  • Fluency in English
  • Conversant in German or French
  • Some experience in a similar function
  • Familiarity with MS office, program management & basic engineering tools
  • Electrical or electromechanical engineering degree
